Poppies

It is Rememberance Day next Sunday. I am exhorted by charities to "wear my poppy with pride". Will I? Isn't there some chance of some little minority group dictating to the majority that the wearing of poppies insults their religion?

No Morals

Despite the massive hurricane damage in New Orleans and in spite of the London bombings by Muslims, the USA and UK were among the first to send massive aid to the earthquake victims in Pakistan. Where was the Red Crescent? Will the Muslims still think the West are anti-Islamic? No doubt the hostilities against the West will cease for the duration of the relief, then in will be "business" as usual for the Muslim terrorists. At least we in the West will now know for certain that the Muslim terrorists have no morals whatsoever.

Not Again?????

Now that America has got over the hurricane, I notice that starving babies are one agian appearing on our TV screens--this time in Malawi. Once again no fathers are shown and all mothers are well-fed. When I was at school in the '50s it was normal to give a "penny for the black babies" every week. So where has my money gone??????

"Public" Transport

It was a local holiday in Glasgow on Monday. Very few people were actually on holiday. Public transport was curtailed to a Sunday service, which means most (all?) people had to find an alternative way to get to work if they used public transport. In a city this size--and with most of the "public" working it seems strange that "Public" transport was curtailed. Public transport was never meant for the public. It is only meant to keep certain members of the (otherwise unemployable) plebs in a job at taxpayers expense and inconvenience.

What Famine In Niger?

I see from television News reports that there is a "catastrophic" famine in Niger. Is there? On the news reports of the victims no men were shown. Why? Too well-fed for inclusion? The reports showed starving babies, and where they show babies they must show mothers. Look at the mothers. All were well-fed and wearing clean clothes. It has now been estimated that to repair the damage of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans will cost approximately $12 billion. The USA will not be sending aid abroad for a few years. Is this the reason that the "famine" has been quietly dropped from the News bulletins? Knowing that the USA will not be feeling "white guilt" for some years will all the starving babies now make a recovery?

Fuel Protests

Today there are plans for protesters to blockade oil depots and garages in protest at the high cost and the Government's refusal to reduce tax on oil. It was very obvious that the tax on petrol would rise. Now that smoking is fround upon by the health fascists and smokers treated like criminals, most smokers now get their cigarettes from smugglers and suchlike. The tax revenue from tobacco must have fallen sharply. This Government needs (or wants) the money to spend, so the motorist is now picking up the bill. How many motorists persecuted the smokers? I am sure you regret it now.

What Next?

I read in the newspapers that Holocaust Day is to be banned because it upsets Muslims--they feel "excluded". How many Muslims were "included" in Hitler's death camps? What next? In my home city the political have already banned Christmas and renamed it as a "Winter Festival", Easter has now become the "Spring Holiday". In our nursery schools when teaching children the alphabet "P for pig" is banned in case it upsets Muslim sensitivities. For a sensitive religion, Muslims seem to carry out some atrocities.
